Before you give.

Is my contribution tax-deductible?

No. Astra Civic Fund is a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization, so contributions are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. A 501(c)(4) can do more advocacy and lobbying than a charity, which is why we are organized this way.

Is this a contribution to Astra PAC?

No. This page accepts contributions to Astra Civic Fund only. Astra PAC is a separate federal political committee with its own rules, and it does not accept contributions through this page.

When will I get a receipt?

Straight away, by email, for every gift. Monthly donors receive a receipt each month.

How do I change or cancel a monthly gift?

Use the "Manage my monthly gift" button in any monthly receipt. Or enter the email you gave with your gift and we will send you a new link.

Is my payment secure?

Card and bank details are entered directly into Stripe's secure fields and never touch our servers. Stripe is certified to the highest level of the payment card industry standard (PCI DSS Level 1).

Can I direct my gift to one area of work?

Yes. Choose an area on the form and we will use your gift for it. Gifts for "where it's needed most" give us the most flexibility, which is why we ask for them first.
